Suomen filosofinen yhdistys järjestää vuosittaisen kollokvionsa Helsingissä 9-10.1. 2020. Tällä kertaa kollokviolla ei ole varsinaista teemaa, vaan yhdistys toivottaa tervetulleeksi esitelmäehdotuksia kaikilta filosofian osa-alueilta. Tarkoituksenamme on yksinkertaisesti koota yhteen Suomessa ja miksei muuallakin toimivat filosofian tutkijat esittelemään parasta ja ajankohtaisinta tutkimustaan.
Filosofiska föreningen i Finland ordnar sitt årliga kollokvium i Helsingfors 9-10.1. 2020. Denna gång har kollokviet inget särskilt tema. I stället bjuder vi in förslag till föredrag inom alla filosofins delområden. Vårt syfte är helt enkelt att samla inhemska och utländska forskare för att presentera sina främsta och senaste forskningsbidrag inom filosofin.
The annual Philosophical Society of Finland Colloquium is held in Helsinki on January 9-10. 2020. The colloquium does not have a specific theme and we invite papers from all areas of philosophy.

Practical information
Conference venue: Tieteiden talo (the House of Sciences and Letters, Kirkkokatu 6, Helsinki).

Hotel accommodation: Attendants of the FiPhi 2020 conference are encouraged to book their accommodations from the following hotels and hostels near the venue:
– Sokos Hotel Helsinki (https://www.sokoshotels.fi/fi/helsinki/sokos-hotel-helsinki) is very well situated in the city center.
– Not too far away is a cheaper option. Hotel Arthur (https://www.hotelarthur.fi/)
– If you are feeling adventurous, there is also (https://www.hotelkatajanokka.fi/), which is built in an old prison.
– There are also cheaper options available in form of hostels such as Kongressikoti and Eurohostel.
Coffee breaks: Coffee is served on both conference days (9th-10th Jan) at 15.25 – 15.50 on the top floor of Tieteiden talo.
Conference dinner: Conference dinner will take place on Thursday 9th Jan 19.00 – 22.00 at Kolme kruunua (“Three crowns”) restaurant at Liisankatu 5. This dinner is self-funded for everyone except the keynote speaker.
